Studied Piano, Theory of Music, Composition at the Irkutsk College of Music and Art BIO: Andrey Lubimtsev was born in Russia and started studying the piano at the age of eight. After taking lessons for a number of years, he studied at the Irkutsk Central Music School and later at the Irkutsk College of Music and Art. At the age of 19, he performed in the Irkutsk Philharmonic with Sobolev's group. One of Andrey's highest achievements occurred in 1990, when Andrey performed his original compositions in Brussels, Belgium at the cultural exchange program, sharing the stage with celebrity Russian musicians and composers, such as Gennady Gladkov and Vladimir Kuzmin. In 1991, Andrey decided to pursue his music career abroad and relocated to the United States. Since then he has performed as pianist and keyboardist for a number of bands and worked on various musical projects. Since 1998 he has taught professionally, including 9 years instructing at a local music store in Camp Hill, PA, and 3 years at a Musical Arts Center in Mechanicsburg, PA. Andrey has an extensive knowledge of piano, improvisation, composition, songwriting and arrangement. Lesson Availability
