Teaching and Office/Promotional Assistant, Summer 2022
Rita Veneziale is a junior music composition major at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY who is also pursuing minors in music history, music theory, contemporary commercial music, and the entertainment & recording industry. Her main interest in composition is film and media scoring. She creates music for short films in collaboration with Rochester Institute of Technology animation students and participates in scoring competitions. She also writes and performs classical music.
Last summer at KMAC Rita assisted with Piano Classes and Rock Band Camps. She also had the opportunity to create a few advertisements and some social media content for the school. This past spring, she completed an internship with Society for Chamber Music in Rochester. Some of her projects there included the creation of intro & end cards for YouTube videos, writing music for the end cards and conducting an interview with the artistic directors. She also created original content for social media platforms that promoted both the organization and the concerts.
Rita is a former piano and composition student of Andrey Lubimstev and a former cello student of Michael Cameron. She now studies with Dr. Gary Fisher (piano) and Professor Zachary Sweet (cello) in college. She plays both instruments, as well as some occasional percussion, in the Nazareth College Symphony Orchestra. Rita also has experience accompanying vocalists on the piano in classical, musical theater and pop styles. She looks forward to working with Rock Band Camps and the Piano Class again this summer, along with assisting the staff with promotion, operations and nonprofit activities.
